Opened in 1973, the Bay Valley Golf Club is a magnificent championship 18 hole course, designed by Jack Nicklaus/Desmond Muirhead that's dominated by very large, fast greens. While the course is well bunkered, it is rarely necessary to carry a bunker to reach a green, and shots hit short can bounce and run on. It's a design feature that is coming back into favor. The challenge is provided by water that can come into play on 13 holes.
