The Red Coat Tavern has Metro Detroit's Best Burger since 1972. The onion rings are addictive.Try other favorites such as Fish and Chips with a Belgian White Ale and a bowl of Clam Chowder. It has a cool old interior with dark lighting and red vinyl booths. A great throwback to Motown kind of place. Great prices and portions.

Best Burger I’ve Had!
Best hamburger I’ve had! Amazing atmosphere and great service. Not only was their hamburger amazing but so were their onion rings and french fries.

Not the best visit
Came in at 11 for an early lunch on a busy weekend (local car show). The waiter was very nice, but there were some unknown problems with the staff/kitchen. Long wait for the food and the bathroom...

Nice Comfort Food
Nice Place with large menu for both food and drink. Large selection of beers. We enjoyed the Fish and Chips and the Perch. The wedge salad was large and good. The French fires were average at best...
