Sault Ste. Marie Welcome Center

Michigan's welcome centers serve more than 7.5 million travelers annually. Maintained and operated by MDOT, they provide Pure Michigan travel and tourism information. Welcome Center staff are knowledgeable members of the hospitality industry who assist travelers and work with the state's tourism industry to promote destinations, events, and activities in Michigan. Rest areas are open 24 hours a day, and provide modern restroom facilities, telephones, picnic areas, pet exercise zones, paved parking areas, and fresh drinking water, and are located within an hour's travel time of each other.
