The Blazing Star Prairie Trail is a short, 0.5-mile hike in Algonac State Park near Detroit. The trail has very easy terrain, making it a very kid-friendly place to hike and even a great place to bring your dog. In the winter, you can escape the bustle of the big city and enjoy a serene cross-country skiing adventure and in the warmer months, take time to enjoy the wide variety of wildlife that find their habitat in the Algonac State Park.
