Bald Mountain-South Unit Trails
Bald Mountain Recreation Area is located on the southeast side of the Lower Peninsula. The park has several trails that make up the South Unit of the park. The Red Loop, totaling approximately 3.4 miles, can be shortened via the Green Trail (0.2-miles), the Blue Trail (0.2 miles) or the Orange Trail (0.3 miles). You can also access the Yellow Trail (0.5 miles) via the Red Trail to get back to Kern Road. If you want to get back to Greenshield Road, you can take the White Trail (0.3 miles). Along all pathways, you will hike amongst marshes and deep forests, through rolling hills and rough terrain.
