Bridgewater Bank Tavern is located in Bridgewater Township right between Saline and Manchester on Austin Road. Built originally as a bank in the 1800's this tavern offers quite the experience. Karaoke every Saturday, as well as live bands every so often brings this place to life on the weekends. But what really draws in crowds from all over Washtenaw county is their incredible homemade specials which range from Sauerkraut dinners on Mondays, Meatloaf dinners on Tuesday, and the best Friday Fish Fry around. They also provide typical bar food which is anything from hoagies, to sandwiches, to 1/2 lb never frozen 100% Hereford beef hamburgers. Makes your mouth water, huh? They are proud to say they are a local business who supports Michigan as well. Two of eight beers on draft are Michigan based, one as close as Milan and their food provider is Van Eerden, a company based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Bridgewater Bank Tavern was taken over by new owners as of September 14th, 2011 by a couple of Saline sisters. Sarah who has been working at 'the bank,' since about 2001 and Christina started shortly after. They grew up busing tables, flipping burgers in the kitchen and waiting on their customers whom they now call their family. Stop in sometime and see why it is voted 'the best tavern in Bridgewater.'
