Brighton-Kahchin Trail

Located in the Brighton State Recreation Area, the Kahchin Trail provides a 2-mile loop from start to finish, beginning at the Bishop Lake day-use area. Several visitors who are looking for a longer hike will combine their journey on the Kahchin Trail with the Penosha Trail, giving them a 6.2-mile hike. In the winter, the trails are not groomed, but cross-country skiers are permitted to use the trail at their own convenience. As you move along the trail in the spring and summer, you will be greeted by beautiful wildflowers and the nature that composes the Brighton State Recreation Area.
