Brighton-Penosha Trail

The Penosha Trail is located within the Brighton State Recreation area. It is 5 miles long, and for those who want a longer journey, it is easily combined with the Kahchin Trail, also located within the Brighton State Recreation Area. Escape the crowds of southeast Michigan when you step foot along the Penosha Trail and take in the numerous lakes, ponds and ridges. The wide variety of terrain is sure to make for an adventure. Hiking and mountain biking are both permitted on the trails, and most recommended during spring and fall.
