The Bruce Dice Mineralogical Museum at Calvin University is a growing collection of more than 500 unique geological specimens collected from around the world. Highlights include a rare fossilized octopus, a four-foot tall amethyst geode, an interactive fluorescent mineral display, copper minerals, a collection of specimens from Michigan, and meteorites. Exhibits are rotated regularly. Winner of the 2013 American School and University Outstanding Design for Exhibition Space/Galleries award, this unique space designed by GMB a+e has attracted over 30,000 visitors since its opening in 2012.
