Charles A. Ransom Nature Preserve

80 acres. A mix of open fields and northern Michigan hardwoods. The terrain is quite steep and hilly. From its highest elevation of 320 feet viewers can see much of western Charlevoix County, Lake Michigan, four islands and the distant Leelanau Peninsula. Trail system of 1-1/2 miles. The preserve is located a few miles east of Charlevoix. Parking lot is on Maple Grove Road 3/4-mile north of Quarterline Road.
