Coldwater Lake State Park is home to 400 acres of largely undeveloped park land, just 3 miles north of the Indiana border. The park features more than a mile of scenic lakeshore and a mixture of former farmland, wetlands, hardwood forest and native grasslands, situated between Copeland Road and the southern shoreline of Coldwater Lake.
The lake, which is part of the largest chain of lakes in the county, is a popular destination for fishing and recreational boating. Several boating access sites are located outside of the park, including Coldwater Lake boating access site on the west side of the lake.
The park serves as an important recreational resource for Branch County, as the only public land open to hunting in the county.
We encourage you to purchase your Recreation Passport before visiting; however, a fee pipe to purchase it is available in the parking lot.
