The Coleman Veterans Memorial Committee is made up of local residents devoted to the education of our community’s youth, residents, and visitors regarding the sacrifices and services of our veterans. With help from the 25th Infantry Division Memorial Fund, we have achieved our goal of creating a replica of the "United By Sacrifice" Memorial at historic Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.
The memorial is located in a ceremonial courtyard adjacent to the Coleman Library along Railway Street. There are three sidewalks leading into the courtyard. The walkways are handicap accessible. Brick pavers surround the statues and have personalized inscriptions that loved ones have purchased to honor their friend or family member who served our great nation. Many have served our nation with honor. We are providing a place to pay tribute to those who served, those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and those who remain POW/MIA.
