The Felt Mansion

Beautifully situated ten miles south of Holland (Michigan) and six miles north of Saugatuck, the Felt Estate was once the luxurious summer home and hobby of self-made millionaire and inventor Dorr E. Felt. The mansion, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Michigan State Register of Historic Sites, retains the architectural beauty of a bygone era and offers a glimpse into the wealth and lifestyle of the Roaring 20s – a time cut short by The Great Depression. Open on the weekends in the Summer for self-guided tours from 1pm to 5pm and Sundays from 2pm to 5pm. Private guided tours are available. Felt Mansion is available for rent for weddings and more. With a quiet library, open parlor, covered terrace, fine dining rooms, and a third floor grand ballroom, the mansion offers several options for a variety of events from intimate family gatherings to formal banquets. The surrounding gardens with vistas of the Lake Michigan dunes and forests offer a magnificent backdrop for any occasion.
