Fisher's Covered Bridge

Fisher's Bridge over the Chippewa River in Deerfield Nature Center just outside Mt. Pleasant Michigan, a 591 acre forest/river setting. Canoe or hike to your rustic campsite. Built: 1968, Fisher's Covered Bridge spans the Chippewa River in Isabella County and is open only to foot traffic. The bridge was a well-kept local secret until its superstructure was destroyed by fire under mysterious circumstances on May 12 of 1995. Fortunately, its steel frame and concrete deck were undamaged.
