Michigan State University's Forest Akers Golf Courses offers two 18-hole championship layouts, a state of the art practice facility referred to as the Golf Center, two full-service Golf shops, and a full compliment of services. Two of the best University owned courses in America. Maximum Golf names West Course 100 best bargains on the U.S. Driving range named as one of the top 100 ranges on America for the last 4 years. The West Course was redesigned by Michigan State alumnus Arthur Hills in 1992. The East Course was redesigned in 1997 changing from par 71 to par 72. The course is a certified member of the Turfgrass Environmental Stewardship Program.
