Fred Meijer Grand River Valley Rail-Trail

The Fred Meijer Grand River Valley Rail-Trail is one of four connected rail trail corridors when all are connected will be the 5th longest rail-trail in the USA. This 17.5 mile Fred Meijer Grand River Valley section will connect a northern section to Alma and southern section to Owosso for a total of 125 mile rail trail corridor. This will allow residents in Montcalm, Kent and Ionia counties to access this wonderful trail. The most direct beneficiaries of this project will be the residents of the three counties. However, the benefits of this trail will reach out to Grand Rapids, Lansing, Saginaw and Flint communities.
