French Valley Vineyard and its Tasting Room are located in the heart of this wondrous Leelanau Peninsula slightly north of Cedar Michigan. Being just a few minutes from the natural temperature regulation of “The Great Blue” Lake Michigan is also an asset to vine survival through our sometimes “Polar Vortex” winters. The unique soils are perfect for growing grapes which are used to produce french-style boutique fine wines from our estate grown varietals. These varieties have come to include Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Frontenac Gris, and Marquette.
The Event Barn
Nestled amongst the rolling hills of Leelanau County, French Valley Vineyard features a fully restored event barn and 75 acres of vineyard. Your guests are invited to explore the vineyard, event barn and cozy up to a bonfire at the end of your event. The property is YOURS for the entire weekend for your special event.
The Barn at French Valley vineyard was built in the early 1900’s by the Amish. The hand hewn beams, crystal chandeliers, string ceiling lights, and lavish property, create a romantic, rustic atmosphere.
Outside the centennial barn doors, is a breathtaking view of our vineyard, landscaped patio with cocktail tables, guest sitting and a 6-foot wishing fountain.
