Goose Creek Trail Camp

Located near the majestic Manistee River, this rustic campground is surrounded by tall jack pines. There is a large open group camping area designed for equestrian campers riding the Shore-to-Shore Trail. Maximum capacity is 200 individuals with a maximum of 50 wheeled recreational vehicles.
The facility can accommodate both tents and trailers and includes vault toilets and potable water from a well-hand pump. There is also a submersible pump that requires a 5000 watt generator. Sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call for availability.
The state forest campground is a stop along the Shore-to-Shore Trail, a 420-mile trail system open to hiking and horseback riding, that stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails. Equestrian trail rider groups planning a ride may need to acquire a permit. If the event will utilize multiple campgrounds, please contact the Cadillac Operations Service Center at 231-775-9727 x. 6006. If the event will only utilize one campground, please contact 989-348-7068. The Michigan Trail Riders Association assists with maintenance. This campground is located in Crawford County, just 5.5 miles west of Frederic via County Road 612 and Manistee River Road.
