A 755-acre botanical garden and arboretum featuring a lake, picnic area, canopy walk, conservatory, six miles of paved scenic drives,12 miles of hiking trails, and a year-round calendar of events. The established property was donated to Michigan State University in 1945 and includes a vast range of native and non-native plants that can be found in both the indoor and outdoor plant collections. Highlighted plant collections include the Bonsai Courtyard, Harper Rare & Dwarf Conifer Collection, and Hosta Hillside. The at-tree level Reach for the Sky Canopy Walk, opened in 2023, allows visitors a one-of-a-kind experience with up-close observation of the forest. Open all four seasons to offer a peaceful refuge for those seeking to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Great park, too pricy.
Beautiful place but needs a grounds keeper big time! Limbs hitting your car when driving and your head head when walking and hiking. The entry is now $10! Most likely b/c of the $$ spent on canopy...
