Historic Adventist Village, located in the west end of Battle Creek, shares the story of "A People Who Lived to Honor God." This re-created 19th century village covers nearly a three block area and showcases a Welcome Center with souvenirs & refreshments available on the lower level, an 1852 log cabin, two historic family estates built in the early to mid 1800's along with one of the property's original barns, a 19th century one-room school house, a replicated 1857 Meeting House, the Parkville Church built in the late 1800's, a two story, two stall carriage shed, and the replicated Ascension Rock, where local Millerite Adventists are reported to have waited for the Lord's return on October 22, 1844. The Village is for all ages and is both interactive and educational. Tour the Dr. John Harvey Kellogg Discovery Center on the upper level. Open November 1st - March 31st: Sunday - Friday 10:00 - 4:00, Sabbath (Saturday) 2:00 - 4:00 and April 1st - October 31st: Sunday - Friday 10:00 - 5:00, Sabbath (Saturday) 2:00 - 5:00. Groups of 5 or larger are requested to make pre-arrangements.
