Since 1936, Historic Charlton Park has been a fixture in Barry County by providing visitors with educational and recreational opportunities through its historic village and museum, seasonal special events, and 300+ acre recreation area on Thornapple Lake. Visit the turn-of-century historic village or attend a special event. Use the public boat launch to enjoy some of the best boating and fishing around. Explore trails through deep forests and rolling open meadows. A perfect place to spend the day with family and friends! We offer:

Admission to Historic Charlton Park is FREE. Historic Charlton Park operates seasonally, although the recreation facilities are open year round (weather permitting). Labor Day through Memorial Day, the historic village is open only for prescheduled groups (including guided tours) and special events. Please check our website or call prior to visiting.

Adorable Historical Village and Great Swimming Beach!
Darling historical village! We enjoyed the Civil War reenactment, and the beach for a nice swim. Camping is excellent too.
