A well known charitable gallery featuring the fine art and craft of northern Michigan artist Mary Hramiec Hoffman. Oil scenes of northern Michigan are a collection of paintings inspired by the beautiful colors and textures found along the shoreline, along with the woodland vistas that she knows so well. Largely inspired by both the fauve and impressionist movements, Mary is a prolific designer that vascillates between drawing, painting, creating with clay and textile design. She has worked for major corporations designing giftware found in Hallmark stores around the U.S. and continues to develop new products in addition to oil paintings for the gallery run by her husband and business partner Mark Hoffman. Nurtured as a child by artistically inclined parents, Mary graduated from Grand Rapids Michigan’s Aquinas College and Kendall College of Art and Design’s affiliate art program, majoring in illustration. Mary’s works remind patrons of coastal visits- the sound of waves and seagulls, the smell of fresh air and memories of happy days with friends and family returns to them every time they see her paintings. Please visit the bright blue gallery on M119, two miles south of downtown Harbor Springs or anytime online.
