Jaycee Park offers 5.92 acres of park space in downtown Grand Ledge along nearly 1,700 feet of the Grand River on East River Street. Recent expansions of the park helped make way for a permanent bathroom facility, an improved boat launch, connecting paved trail to the existing ADA-accessible Riverwalk Trail and Wide Walk, a natural kayak launch, and an ADA-accessible kayak/canoe launch.
As a destination, Jaycee Park offers a play structure, a large swing set, a sand volleyball court, a full basketball court, picnic tables, a sledding hill, a universally accessible splashpad, and a performance shelter with seating for over 500. With direct access to the Riverwalk Trail and Wide Walk, as well as 100 on-street parking places along East River Street, Jaycee Park is easily accessible by non-motorized and motorized travel.
Jaycee Park hosts popular summer events such as Music in the Park (free live concerts, Thursday evenings from June - August), Yankee Doodle Day (festival in June); and the Market on the Grand (Saturday mornings from May - October). Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, visitors can cool off with the universally accessible GL Splashpad.
New in 2024, Jaycee Park has American Sign Language-Shaped Bike Racks with a fun, informational sign and and ADA-accessible Butterfly Garden!
There is no charge to park or to enter Jaycee Park and enjoy all of the amenities!
