For Meredith Brown, owning a Kilwin's is a dream come true. She was once a loyal customer of the shoppe she currently owns and operates in Petoskey. It's the original Kilwin's that was once a bakery owned by Don and Katy Kilwin. Their shoppe is in the Gaslight District in downtown Petoskey. The city is active year round, but almost triples in population during the summer months when vacationers and resorters call it home. Kilwin's of Petoskey has been a tradition here for more than 50 years. It's the shoppe that started it all! Makers of fine candies, hand dipped nuts, fudge, creams, brittles and more.
