Just off the snowmobile trail, overlooking beautiful Lac La Belle is the Lac La Belle Lodge and Bear Belly Pit Stop, offering direct water access to Lake Superior. The lodge offers rustic housekeeping cabins, a convenience store, gas for road and docks, boat and motor rental as well as dock rental. 1/2 Mile from Mt. Bohemia with nearby golfing, hiking, bicycling, hunting, snowmobiling, cross-country and down hill skiing. The Bear Belly Pit Stop is Lac La Belle's largest convenience store which features beer and wine for sale, convenience items as well as souvenirs and locally made coffee, local jams and honey, jewelry, books from Keweenaw authors and more! At the Pit Stop you can also purchase fishing licenses and other DNR permits. The Bear Belly Pit Stop also features daily specials made fresh in the kitchen from beloved former Bear Belly Bar cook David Menominee. All of the local Bear Belly Bar favorites are now available to go, for you to eat at a local scenic destination or to enjoy al fresco on our picnic tables. Open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend to October 15th, and again from December 26th until mid-March, call early to book your cabin on the lake!
