The Little Presque Isle Pathway (Harlow Lake) is often called the crown jewel of Lake Superior with its beautiful sand beaches, rugged shoreline cliffs, heavily timbered forests, and unmatched scenic views. Along this pathway, you will find the secluded Little Presque Isle Cabins amongst the birch and pine woodlands. The pathway has 18 miles of trails that are well-marked and offer a variety of terrain for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and other non-motorized use. Little Presque Isle offers a wide variety of habitats for birds and other animals, so visitors may spot wildlife as they make their way along the trail. A portion of the North Country Trail, the nation’s longest Scenic Trail that forms a hiking route from North Dakota to New York, follows along the lake through this area as well. There are 5 main trail heads visitors can use to access this pathway. Additional trail heads can be found throughout the property.

All of the trailheads are on the same 1.5 mile stretch of County Road 550 in Marquette County. Little Presque Isle Point is the main parking area for getting to the point. Wetmore Landing is the main parking area for a walk to the nice beach sand. Only these two trailheads have vault toilets and self-registration stations.
