Lost Tamarack Pathway
Located near Wolverine, the Lost Tamarack Pathway is a 4.67-mile, wooded pathway beginning at Weber Lake State Forest Campground. The pathway consists of two loops, both of which are open to mountain biking, hiking and cross-country skiing. The trail provides an opportunity to travel through a beautifully dense forest, circles two lakes and offers great opportunities for wildlife viewing. Make sure that you are aware of your surroundings as the rustic pathway has minimal trail marking, especially in the winter.
The pathway is maintained with the help of the Thunder Bay Trails Association.
Backpacking (dispersed camping) is allowed along the pathway, as long as you are one mile away from Weber Lake state forest campground. View a map of state forests and campgrounds.
