The .6 mile trail winds through the towering 200-year-old hemlocks and pines along the shore of Lake Michigan. Constructed in 1993, the trail is fully accessible. Twelve interpretive panels describe the rich history of the area which dates back to the days when the Noquet Indians camped along the shoreline to the more recent use when the old Maywood Hotel stood among the trees.
