Mead Creek State Forest Campground
This rustic campground, situated on the shore of the Manistique River, offers excellent paddling and fishing opportunities. There is a boat launch on the northeast side of the campground for launching small watercrafts, kayaks and canoes. Sites #1-#4 offer river-front views and the rest of the sites are nestled on a bluff above the river. Drivers must use a narrow wooden bridge to access the boat launch. Use caution while navigating across the bridge.
There are nine sites for tent and small trailer use. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located six miles southwest of Germfask via M-77 and County Road 436. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.
