MI DOG - Michigan’s Summer Sled Dog Center
MI DOG summer sled dog center provides vacationers of all ages with a fun, educational, and hands-on experience into the world of sled dogs. Young children and adults alike will enjoy cuddling and playing with puppies of various ages and meeting the canine and human members of our professional long distance race team, including 1,000 mile Iditarod and Yukon Quest finishers. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the activities of a long distance sled dog team during an average summer day and hear stories from Laura Neese's experiences traveling and racing all over North America.
Presentations covering these amazing athletes and the sport of dog mushing will be approximately one hour long, but visitors are welcome to stay afterward to enjoy a walk in the woods or to go through the tour again if they desire. MI DOG is open for tours Memorial Day weekend through the end of September each year and every month brings different demonstrations and sled dog opportunities based on the changes in weather.
Come enjoy a dog some of the most talented, happy, and passionate athletes in the world. It will be a day to remember!
