The Michigan History Center includes the Archives of Michigan and the Michigan History Museum, the flagship of our 12-site Michigan History Museum System. Located in downtown Lansing, the museum features more than 25 galleries of permanent exhibits, special exhibits and a three-story-high topographical map of the state.
Michigan History Museum hours:
- Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
Archives of Michigan hours:
- Monday through Friday, 1 to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Interesting museum
Very nice museum that chronicles the history of Michigan from early Indian settlers to the 20th century. Docent Ross provided us with a lot of information.

Swing and a miss
A great deal of the exhibits are reproductions. The staff was more interested in their cell phones. Too bad as there is so much that could be improved here.

Very affordable and very good
There is a lot to see here. Everything from old prehistory up to 1970+. The mining part was very interesting and was an entire floor of information.
