The Michigan History Center includes the Archives of Michigan and the Michigan History Museum, the flagship of our 12-site Michigan History Museum System. Located in downtown Lansing, the museum features more than 25 galleries of permanent exhibits, special exhibits and a three-story-high topographical map of the state.
Michigan History Museum hours:
- Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
Archives of Michigan hours:
- Monday through Friday, 1 to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Great little museum
Excellent given the cost of entry. We spent about 2 hours here with our children aged 7 and 10. The person at the front desk was lovely and gave them a treasure hunt sheet to tick off as they went...

Interesting museum
Very nice museum that chronicles the history of Michigan from early Indian settlers to the 20th century. Docent Ross provided us with a lot of information.
