At Modales, we’re redefining the perceptions of Michigan wine, challenging convention & elevating expectations.
We provide high quality wines to wine consumers seeking intention & purpose when it comes to their wine consumption. We’re producing cool climate, terroir driven wines with a focus on minimal intervention winemaking & regenerative practices. Our practices & organic farming methods are what give us wines with a true sense of place & allow us to challenge the perception of Michigan wine.
As of October 2024, we are happy to announce that we have received organic certification through MOSA Certified Organic. This distinction has been granted to the 40 acres currently under vine between our La Esperanza & La Gracia vineyards.

Great wine
This winery is our favorite by far in Michigan. They have the best dry reds… you’ll think you’re in California. It is a must stop when we visit Saugatuck Michigan.

This was my favorite winery in west Michigan. Every fall we would plan a special trip to enjoy both Fenn Valley Wine and Modales, and buy wine from both to take home to stock up for the holidays...
