Mushroom Cap Motel

We have 16 motel rooms. For great Mushroom Hunting, look no further since we are surrounded by State and Public land with the perfect soil for the prized Morel mushrooms. Skiing, snowboarding, no need to trailer your sleds, go right from the door here to connecting trails for over 130 miles. Two downhill ski resorts close by within minutes, the Huron Manistee National Forest is to the south of us for good cross country ski trails or hiking along with the Pere Marquette State Forest to the north, so a hike thru the woods is easy to include in your schedule. Canoeing and fishing on the numerous trout streams, and the Hodenpyle Resevour and Tippy Dam only a short drive. The Canoe livery is just up the road. Also golfing in the summer at The Briar Downs just down the road. Color Tours in our Northern Michigan region is quite spectacular and is in full bloom around the end of September to mid-October.
