Nancy Moore Park was acquired in 1989 from Doug Federau for $156,000 and was developed into the Township's first athletic complex. It is located adjacent to the Meridian Township Service Center, which houses the the Department of Parks and Recreation staff. Development of the athletic complex began in 1992 and was not fully completed until 1995. Many of the trees in the park were provided through the Township’Township's Adopt-A-Tree program, and two gardens (one annual and one perennial) have been installed in memoriam. Park development was financed through the MDNR Quality of Life Recreation Bond Program in 1990 and 1992. This park includes ball diamonds, athletic fields, restrooms, sidewalks, trails, a picnic pavilion, and parking that are accessible to individuals with a disability. The parking lot was paved in 2004 and a paved trail was added in 2005 that connects to the Nemoke Trail in Haslett.
