Negwegon State Park is located in Black River on the northeast side of the Lower Peninsula. The state park has three trails, including the Algonquin Trail. The Algonquin Trail is 3.7 miles long and wanders along the coast of Lake Huron and through the surrounding wilderness. The trail will take you through towering white birch trees, young firs and bring you to the tip of the rocky South Point for scenic views of Lake Huron. Visitors can easily access the Chippewa Trail via the Algonquin Trail.
