Located near Gaylord, the Pine Baron Pathway provides a variety of terrain for hiking, mountain biking and skiing adventures. With 6.25 miles of trail and four possible loops, this trail provides an opportunity to travel through a beautifully dense forest. The loops wind through a forest of hardwoods and pines and only involve a few minor changes in elevation. This pathway is most popular in winter when it is groomed as a single-track cross-country ski trail. The trailhead is 5 miles southwest of Gaylord via M-32 West, South Townline Toad, Milbocker Road and Lone Pine Road.
Backpacking (dispersed camping) is allowed along the pathway. View a map of state forests and campgrounds.
