Red Gate farm is a woman owned and operated 5 acre farm in beautiful Leelanau county. Red Gate Farm grows and sells: heirloom vegetables, flowers for bouquets, lavender, baked goods and canned homemade jam, eggs from our free range chickens, and sell local fruit when it's in season. We also sell supplementary things like sell sewn goods, fire wood, t-shirts and coffee mugs.
Red Gate Farm is environmentally verified with the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program. We start our seeds in the greenhouse at Red Gate Farm in the spring, and do not use pesticides or herbicides in the garden.
Red Gate Farm is the home of the Maple City Chicken Bus, a converted school bus that houses our chickens and rooster. Our chickens eat non-GMO feed and free range most days (they only stay inside on the bitterly cold or snowy days in winter). Farm fresh eggs, baked goods, and jam are available year round at Red Gate Farm. Stop by or call, we'd love to show you around! Andria Metrakos, owner/operator (231-228-2577)
