Body
The Livingston Trail, located in Saugatuck Dunes State Park along the coast of Lake Michigan, is a short, 2.5-mile hike through the dunes and surrounding forested area. The Livingston Trail connects the South Trail to the Beach trail and to the Shore Acres Township Park. Often times, visitors will start on the North Trail, take a beach walk, and return via the Livingston Trail. If you combine these trails, you will get a great combination of sand dunes, views of Lake Michigan, scenic vistas as well as wooded areas. Hiking and cross-country skiing are allowed, however, the ski trails are not groomed.
