Sheep Ranch Pathway
This 4.5-mile trail is located two miles east of Baldwin. The trail is a series of interconnected loops, with several different access points allowing hikers to choose the length of their journeys. Hikers will walk along the Baldwin River and pass through the Leverentz Lake State Forest Campground. The trail is great for all skill levels and is perfect for wildlife viewing.
The main trailhead and a small parking area are located off US-10 and Forest Drive. Campers staying at Leverentz Lake State Forest Campground can find trailheads on the north and south sides of the campground. The trail leaves the campground and travels northeast.
Backpacking (dispersed camping) is allowed along the pathway, as long as you are one mile away from Leverentz Lake campground. Learn more about backpacking and dispersed camping. View a map of state forests and campgrounds.
