Sleeping Bear Resort

Sleeping Bear Resort is a popular year-round family gathering destination. The resort consists of a five-bedroom custom log home, a six bedroom remodeled farm home and six newly remodeled cabins. The resort is equipped with wifi and all the cabins and homes have fully stocked kitchens along with picnic tables and BBQ grills. There are two firepits located at the resort and firewood is supplied at no charge. The resort can accommodate groups of up to 60 people and is conveniently located 15 miles from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and 15 miles from Traverse City. Sleeping Bear Resort is located at the base of the Leelanau Peninsula and sits on 450 feet of frontage on Herendeene Lake – a pristine 40 acre no-wake lake with lots of wildlife. The lake is mostly undeveloped and is home to loons, eagles and lots of fish. Guests have free use of eight kayaks, three fishing boats, two paddle boats, two canoes, a huge water trampoline and a sandy beach.
