South Higgins Lake-Green Trail

The Green Loop is located in South Higgins Lake State Park in mid-Michigan. The Green Loop is a part of the Marl Lake Trail system and is connected to the Red Loop, also a part of this system. The Green Loop is 2.0 miles long and is the shortest loop from the trailhead at the park. The Green Loop follows the lakeshore through dense birch, hemlock and oak forests and passes by the wildlife surrounding. Hiking is the only activity permitted along this pathway.
