Stillwater Stables & Stays is a 60-acre horse farm situated on Perry Lake in northern Oakland County that offers event rentals and cabin stays throughout the year.
Newly completed in 2022, the cabins are upcycled shipping containers. Guests may pick from units that are perched in the old-growth forest with a lake view or near the stables, where the daily clip-clopping of horses' hooves can be heard outside the window. The project has been recognized for its unique and intentional commitment to design and architecture. Guests love amenities like heated towel bars, private hot tubs, quartz countertops, and fast WiFi. Activity highlights include fishing from the dock, encounters with horses, bird watching, and hiking along acres of groomed trails. The venue is adults-only, except for special Family Weeks as published on the website.
