Taylor/Horton Creek/ Schulz/Nick Adams Nature Preserves

207 acres combined. Frontage: 1.73 miles along Horton Creek. A mix of mature hardwood forests and stands of young pin cherry; hemlock and yellow birch grow along the creek. Nearly three miles of trails are on the west side of Horton Creek in the Taylor and Schulz preserves; access is from a parking area on Pin Cherry Rd 2.1 miles north of Boyne City Road. Preserve sections on the east side of Horton Creek do not have trails or parking areas; they can be accessed from Horton Creek Road.
