Thompson's Harbor State Park

Situated along seven and a half miles of Lake Huron shoreline, just north of Alpena. This undeveloped park provides a rustic retreat for hikers exploring the park's six miles of trails. Thompson's Harbor now has two rustic cabins available year-round.

True adventure awaits along the Main Trail in Thompson’s Harbor State Park. Hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are permitted along the trail, weather permitting. Bring your binoculars for wildlife viewing.
