Thumb Lake Park is situated near Charlevoix County’s eastern border and at 10+ acres is a beautiful gem of a day use park located on Magee Road, just north of Thumb Lake Road in Hudson Township. This is a popular swimming beach used by residents and visitors to the eastern third of Charlevoix County with 1600 feet of sandy beach and clear water. It has a designated buoyed swimming area with NO LIFEGUARD on duty and ample parking. Thumb Lake is the deepest lake in Charlevoix County and has its own watershed. Dogs are allowed on a designated portion of the beach and park. A pavilion, picnic tables and grilling stations are provided for your convenience and are near the water. Also available are sidewalks with a barrier free ramp that leads to the beach, a boating area and universally accessible portable restrooms.
