Van Buren Trail State Park
Van Buren Trail State Park is located on the coast of Lake Michigan between Harford and South Haven. The trail stretches 14 miles between these two cities and offers a wide variety of unique opportunity. Along the trail, you may see deer, rabbit, fox and eagles, all native to the area, which attracts many birders and naturalists. The undeveloped trail runs through long sections of grass and sand, while traversing occasionally over rough ballast stones and through areas of pines and hardwood trees. Visitors can access the trail from a grass-covered parking structure just left for two blocks off of the Harford exit on I –94. From South Haven, visitors can access the trail via Lovejoy Ave.
