Washington Street Inn B&B

We invite you to experience the charm and hospitality of the Washington Street Inn. Our historic home is located in one of the most beautiful resort town on Lake Michigan- Grand Haven, Michigan. It was built in 1902, by HJ Dornbos, a prominent resident and business owner. His smoked fish business (1889) was reputed to be one of the largest in the country, smoking over one million pounds of fish per year. The home is from the post Victorian era, and is a fine example of the American Four-Square style. Mission/Craftsman details are evident displaying: beveled/leaded glass windows, original oak woodwork and hardwood floors from the turn of the last century.

The inn has been thoughtfully renovated. and kept spotlessly clean. Original architectural elements maintained, with updated furniture and decor. A balanced mix of comfortable new furnishings to lounge, along with beautiful antiques to provide interest and honor to the homes beginnings, provide a relaxing and pleasant setting. 5 bedrooms and 4 common rooms provide places to rest and relax. A full, off a limited menu, breakfast is prepared each day for you in our dining room.
