Located on the grounds of the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery, the visitor center provides programs that tell the remarkable tale of the Great Lakes fisheries and the vital role played by hatcheries. Individuals of all ages will enjoy the opportunity to learn about a variety of fish species, their life cycles and habitats and how we work to protect and conserve Michigan's lakes, rivers and streams.
Visitor center hours of operation:
April and May: Tues. – Sat., 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Sun., noon – 4 p.m.
Memorial Day – Labor Day: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Mon. – Sat. and Sun. noon – 6 p.m.
September and October: Tues. – Sat., 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Sun. noon – 4 p.m.
November: Sat. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sun. noon – 4 p.m.
December – March: Closed for season except for special programming
Trails and feeding the fish are open year round, at no charge to the public, from dawn to dusk.
