Wolf Lake Hatchery Visitor Center is located on 78 acres of fish rearing ponds including a special show pond, all open to the public. Visitors can learn about all aspects of fisheries science through displays, multi-media programs, and interpretive materials. Learn about the habits and biology of fish, as well as the history of fishing in Michigan-from Native Americans to the present. Also, the visitor center offers free guided tours of the hatchery! Hours vary by season so phone ahead. Admission is free. An official Michigan Wildlife Viewing Area. A DNR Stamp & Go Guide location.
Days and hours of operation: Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please note, this is for the visitor center at Wolf Lake only.
All hatchery buildings remain closed to the public.
Please call ahead. We have very limited staff and cannot guarantee to be open on these days.
