Nestled in the heart of Southwest Michigan’s rolling wine country, Worthenbury Country House is a great place for visitors to stay in a relaxing, “home-away-from-home.” Enjoy all the comforts and the solitude of this beautiful guest house. Only 90 miles from downtown Chicago and 30 minutes from South Bend, Indiana, on the Southwest Michigan Wine Trail. Adjacent to the Round Barn Winery and only a 5-minute drive from several other wineries (Tabor Hill, Lemon Creek, Domain Berrien, Free Run, Hickory Creek and Founder's Winery to name a few) makes it a great base for a weekend of wine tasting and exploring Harbor Country. And it is only a ten-minute drive west to the gorgeous beaches of Lake Michigan. Perfect for families of four to ten, the guesthouse boasts 3-beautifully appointed guest rooms, year-round hot tub, fully furnished kitchen, central air, gas fireplace, wireless internet, Dish Network TV, washer/dryer and more. Now completely restored and updated, the property was originally part of a working farm, one of the first settled in the area in 1838. From the 1950's through the 1980's, the farm drew a large clientele in search of U-pick cherries, peaches and grapes while enjoying a day in the country. Among the first farms to grow French-hybrid grapes, Worthenbury has been in the Salisbury family for over 40 years. Find us on facebook for lots of pictures. See our website for rates and policies.
