From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 17th, Grand Haven Main Street provides a picturesque postcard start to this year’s holiday season. Downtown Grand Haven will be abuzz with festivities and cheer as Light Night kicks off the holiday shopping season. Retail stores throughout the Main Street district will host open houses with special holiday treats and festive activities for all ages. The Boy Scouts Troop 246 will be selling fresh evergreen wreaths and the Tri-Cities Historical Museum will hand out roasted chestnuts, popcorn and cider.
Limited edition holiday shopping totes and free hot cocoa will be given to the first 500 shoppers and available at two locations – outside “The Bookman” at 715 Washington and “Buffalo Bob’s” at 136 Washington. A complimentary shuttle will provide transportation for the evening from Harbor to Beacon and along 7th Street from Madison to Washington.
